Reflections Contest

"I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY...... "

Each year all LCHS 7-8 students are encouraged to participate in the PTA's annual Reflections Program. This year's theme is "I Can Make a Difference By..."

Keeping the theme in mind, students create an original piece of artwork, take a photo, write a song or a story or poem, or create an original dance or short video about it. It's as easy as that!This program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by the theme, while increasing community awareness of the importance of the arts in education.

The Reflections Program kicks off October 1, 2007 and entries will be accepted through November 26, 2007. Students may submit as many entries as they want in the areas of:

• Literature
• Musical Composition
• Photography
• Visual Arts
• Dance Choreography
• Film/Video Production

Official entry forms MUST be completely filled out and attached to each entry. Entry forms and official rules and detailed requirements for each of the categories will be available in the school administration office or downloaded from this site.

Entries will be evaluated on artistic merit, creativity and theme interpretation.
